Mobility of zinc and copper in contaminated clay soil influenced by Actinidia deliciosa and incubation times

Mobility of zinc and copper in contaminated clay soil influenced by Actinidia deliciosa and incubation times

As a low cost byproduct, Actinidia deliciosa shell can be made into sorbent materials which are used in heavy metals immobilization. It has been investigated as a replacement for currently expensive methods of heavy metal immobilization from soil.

Evaluating the Arsenic, Cadmium, Lead, and Copper levels in certain imported tea samples consumed in iran

Evaluating the Arsenic, Cadmium, Lead, and Copper levels in certain imported tea samples consumed in iran

Seven majorly consumed brands of several teas (A1, A2, M1, M2, S, D, and C teas) were selected for the present study. In this study, the heavy metal contents including copper (Cu), cadmium (Cd), arsenic (As), and lead (Pb) were assessed in the black tea samples consumed in Iran.

Simultaneous nitrification-denitrification in a sequencing batch reactor equipped with fixed Kaldnes carriers

Simultaneous nitrification-denitrification in a sequencing batch reactor equipped with fixed Kaldnes carriers

The main aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of a modified sequencing batch reactor (MSBR) using fixed Kaldnes carriers fed with acclimated sludge for ammonium removal via simultaneous nitrification-denitrification (SND) in synthetic wastewater.

Effect of waterborne copper oxide nanoparticles and copper ions on guppy (Poecilia reticulata): Bioaccumulation and histopathology

Effect of waterborne copper oxide nanoparticles and copper ions on guppy (Poecilia reticulata): Bioaccumulation and histopathology

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO-NPs) and copper ions (Cu++) on guppy (Poecilia reticulata), in order to assess Cu uptake in the gill, and histopathology of gill and intestinal organs in semi-static regimes for 10 days. Guppy fish were assigned into three groups; one control group, and two experimental groups receiving 20 µg/l of either Cu++ or CuO-NPs in a semi-static aqueous culture for 10 days.

Hydrothermal synthesis of surface-modified copper oxide-doped zinc oxide nanoparticles for degradation of acid black 1: Modeling and optimization by response surface methodology

Hydrothermal synthesis of surface-modified copper oxide-doped zinc oxide nanoparticles for degradation of acid black 1: Modeling and optimization by response surface methodology

Dyes are widely used in various industries most of them are not readily biodegradable and are consisted of number of toxic, mutagenic, and carcinogenic compounds. Therefore, it is essential to remove them from effluent before their discharge to the environment.

The effect of incubation time and silk worm cocoon on mobility of zinc and copper in contaminated clay soil

Of the problematic agents in the ecosystem, heavy metals have special importance because they are unabsorbable and have physiologic effects on living beings at low concentrations.

Fatal and Non-Fatal Work Related Injuries Among Workers of Iranian Aluminum and Copper Industries Between 2003 and 2011

Fatal and Non-Fatal Work Related Injuries Among Workers of Iranian Aluminum and Copper Industries Between 2003 and 2011

One-third of globally, injuries to the adults in the world were related to workers and work situations. The aim of the present study was determining of work-related injuries rate among workers at two main metal industries (aluminum and Cooper industries) and independent predictors of fatal work-related injuries among them.
