Comparison of technical and economic efficiency of extended aeration and sequencing batch reactors processes in hospital wastewater treatment
Wastewater of hospitals can cause many risks to public health due to having a variety of pathogenic microorganisms, pharmaceutical substances, and other hazardous toxic substances. The aim of this study was to evaluate the chemical quality of effluents from wastewater treatment plant of Falsafi Hospital and Hakim Jorjani Hospital in Gorgan, Iran, and to compare them technically and economically.

Prevalence of antibiotic resistant genes in selected activated sludge processes in Isfahan Province, Iran
Wastewater treatment plants are one of the main sources of dissemination of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) into the environment. The present study was conducted to determine the prevalence and removal of ARGs in different wastewater treatment processes.
