Assessing the efficiency of floor disinfection on bacterial decontamination in sanandaj governmental hospitals
Despite regular disinfection and decontamination of the hospital floors and surfaces, resistant pathogens from the hospital surfaces and their transmission to humans have been reported recently. The resistance of pathogens to the disinfectant agents or failed disinfection techniques have put the routine floor and non-critical surface disinfection done in hospitals into question with regard to their effectiveness.
Elimination of pathogenic bacteria using electrochemical process containing steel mesh electrode
The main objective of this study is removal of pathogenic bacteria using electrochemical process. The bactericidal effects of electrochemical system containing steel mesh electrode were evaluated from contaminated water with E. coli, Pseudomonas aeroginosa, Staphylococcus aureous and Streptococcus fecalis at various concentrations.
Evaluating efficiency of radio waves for microbial removal in water samples
The most common used methods for water disinfection were chemicals like chlorine, ozonation, ultraviolet radiation, membrane processes, etc. Water disinfection using irradiation techniques is new in water treatment industry which has been developed recently. The aim of the present study was to investigate radio frequency (RF) efficiency for the inactivation of total coliform (TC), fecal coliform, and heterotrophic bacterial count of water pellets.
