Adsorption of Co(II) ions from aqueous solutions using NiFe2O4 nanoparticles

In this study, NiFe2O4 nanoparticles (NiFe2O4 NPs) were prepared through co-precipitation method and subsequently used for the removal of Co(II) ions from aqueous solutions. The NiFe2O4 NPs were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction spectrometry (XRD), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area analysis.

Adsorption of 4-chlorophenol from aqueous solution using activated carbon synthesized from aloe vera green wastes

In this study, activated carbon synthesized from Aloe vera green wastes was used as a sorbent to remove 4-chlorophenol (4-CP) from aqueous solutions. The influence of contact time (0-100 minutes), pH (2-8), adsorbent dosage (1-9 g/l), and initial 4-CP concentration (10-60 mg/l) in batch system was investigated on the sorption.

In the present study, calcination conditions during the synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles were optimized using response surface methodology (RSM) based on central composite design (CCD). After that, the effect of the type of UV irradiation on the photocatalysis of methylene blue (MB) dye was studied based on the kinetic model obtained at optimum conditions.
