Chapter 1 Administration
۱-۱* Scope.
۱-۱-۱ This standard shall apply to the following:
(۱) The siting, design, construction, maintenance, and operation of facilities that produce, store, and handle liquefied natural gas (LNG).
(۲) The training of personnel involved with LNG.
۱-۱-۲ This standard shall not apply to the following:
(۱) Frozen ground containers.
(۲) Portable storage containers stored or used in buildings.
(۳) All LNG vehicular applications, including fueling of LNG vehicles.
۱-۲ Purpose. The purpose of this standard is to provide minimum fire protection, safety, and related requirements for the siting, design, construction, security, operation, and maintenance of LNG plants.
