Chapter 1 Administration
۱-۱* Scope. This standard provides requirements for the production, processing, finishing, handling, recycling, storage, and use of aaa metals and alloys that are in a form that is capable of combustion or explosion.
۱-۱-۱ * The procedures in Chapter 5 shall be used to determine whether a metal is in a noncombustible form.
۱-۱-۲ Combustible Metals.
۱-۱-۲-۱ This standard provides requirements for operations where metal or metal alloys are subjected to processing or finishing operations that produce combustible metal in any form.
۱-۱-۲-۲* This standard shall apply to the storage or use of ignitible fibers/ flyings, specifically with regard to fire hazards.
۱-۱-۲-۳* Operations where metal or metal alloys are subjected to processing or finishing operations that produce combustible metals shall include, but shall not be limited to, machining, sawing, grinding, sanding, buffing, polishing, and thermal spraying.
