Chapter 1 Administration
۱-۱ Scope. This standard establishes criteria for minimizing the hazards of fire during the installation and operation of stationary combustion engines and gas turbines .
۱-۲ Purpose. This standard provides minimum fire safety requirements for the installation and operation of stationary combustion engines and gas turbines .
۱-۳ Application.
۱-۳-۱ * This standard applies to stationary combustion engines and gas turbines . This standard also applies to portable engines that remain connected for use in the same location for a period of one week or more .
۱-۳-۲ This standard applies to new installations and to those portions of existing equipment and installations that are modified.
۱-۳-۳ The effective date of application of this standard is not determined by NFPA. All questions related to applicability shall be directed to the authority having jurisdiction.
