Chapter 1 Administration
۱-۱ Scope.
۱-۱-۱ This standard shall apply to facilities that use flammable and combustible liquids, as herein defined, to manufacture organic coatings for automotive, industrial, institutional, household, marine, printing, transportation, and other applications.
۱-۱-۲ This standard shall not apply to the following:
(l)* Operations involving the use or application of coating materials
(۲)* Storage of organic coatings in locations other than the manufacturing facility
۱-۲* Purpose. The purpose of this standard shall be to provide minimum requirements for safety to life and property from fire and explosion in facilities and processes that manufacture
organic coatings.
۱-۳ Application. (Reserved)
۱-۴ Retroactivity. The provisions of this standard reflect a consensus of what is necessary to provide an acceptable degree of protection from the hazards addressed in this standard at the time the standard was issued.
