Chapter 1 Administration
۱-۱* Scope.
I-I-I* This standard shall apply to the spray application of flammable or combustible materials, as herein defined, either continuously or intermittently by any of the following methods:
(۱) Compressed air atomization
(۲) Airless or hydraulic atomization
(۳) Electrostatic application methods
(۴) Other means of atomized application
۱-۱-۲ This standard shall also apply to me application of flammable or combustible materials, as herein defined, either continuously or intermittently by any of the following methods:
(۱) Fluidized bed application methods
(۲) Electrostatic fluidized bed application methods
(۳) Other means of fluidized application
۱-۱-۳ This standard shall also apply to the spray application of water-borne, water-based, and water-reducible materials that contain ignitible (flammable or combustible) liquids or that produce combustible deposits or residues.
۱-۱-۴* This standard shall not apply to spray operations mat use less than l L (33.8 fl oz) of ignitible (flammable or combustible) liquid in any &-hour period.
۱-۱-۵ This standard shall apply to spray application processes or operations that are conducted indoors or outdoors within temporary membrane enclosures.
