Chapter 1 Administration
۱-۱ Scope. This standard shall have primary responsibility for requirements on the process to conduct a community risk assessment (CRA) and to develop, implement, and evaluate a community risk reduction (CRR) plan.
۱-۱-۱* Conducting a CRA and developing a CRR plan involve a community as defined by the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).
۱-۱-۲ This standard contains minimum requirements for conducting a CRA, developing and implementing a CRR plan, and the ongoing evaluation of the CRR plan.
۱-۱-۳ This standard identifies strategic and policy issues involving the organization and deployment of a CRR program.
۱-۲ Purpose.
۱-۲-۱ The purpose of this standard is to identify minimum requirements and components for conducting a CRA, developing and implementing a CRR plan, and the ongoing evaluation of the CRR plan.
۱-۲-۲ Nothing herein is intended to restrict any jurisdiction from exceeding these minimum requirements.
