Chapter 1 Administration
۱-۱ Scope.
۱-۱-۱* General. This standard shall establish minimum requirements for protection against fire and explosion hazards in wastewater treatment plants and associated collection systems, including the hazard classification of specific locations and processes.
۱-۱-۲ This standard shall apply to the following:
(۱) Collection sewers
(۲) Trunk sewers
(۳) Intercepting sewers
(۴) Combined sewers
(۵) Storm sewers
(۶) Pumping stations
(۷) * Wastewater treatment plants
(۸) Sludge-handling facilities
(۹) Chemical-handling facilities
(۱۰) Treatment facilities
(۱۱) Ancillary structures (see 3.3.58.1)
