۱-۱ Scope.
۱-۱-۱ This standard covers requirements for the installation, maintenance, and use of waste and recyclables storage rooms, containers, handling systems, incinerators, compactors, and linen and laundry handling systems.
۱-۱-۲ This standard does not include design criteria for the purpose of reducing air pollution. For such criteria, consult the authorities having jurisdiction.
۱-۱-۳ The requirements in this standard shall not apply to one- or two-family residential structures.
۱-۲ Purpose. (Reserved)
۱-۳* Application. This standard shall be applied to new construction and new equipment, as determined by the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).
