Abstract :
Environmental pollution resulted from toxicchemicals is a worldwide issue due to theirtoxicity, persistence, bioaccumulation, andbiomagnification in the food chain. Therefore, inorder to decrease toxicity of these materials,using a suitable strategy is crucial to findsources of pollution, to detect types ofpollutants, and treating diseases caused bytoxins. Selected topics have been clearly andlogically arranged in “Pollution: TreatingEnvironmental Toxins”. The book contains eightchapters; each dealing with different aspects of environmental pollution resulted from thetoxins entrance from the urban environment tothe natural environment. After a generaldescription of the importance of environmentalmedicine to diagnosing and treating illnessescaused by toxins in the environment in Chapter1, the author gives details about environmentaldiseases and tools used in diagnosing diseases inChapter 2. In this chapter, finding the source ofan environmental toxin, the most important stepin epidemiology of environmental diseases ispresented.
